Warehouse Assistant

Metric Fencing & Gates is looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently, products are ready for dispatch, and our facilities are well-maintained. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

• Key Responsibilities
• Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing incoming stock.
• Manage inventory levels and perform regular stock checks to ensure accuracy.
• Pick, pack, and prepare products for dispatch, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Collaborate with the warehouse manager and team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Requirements
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
• A valid police check will be conducted during the on-boarding process.
• Working Hours
• Monday to Friday, full-time position.
• Start date : 10th March 2025.
• Hourly Rate
• 45 per hour.
