We are seeking an experienced Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the Enterprise Business Delivery team in delivering technologies and standards for Cloud Services, including AWS EFTPOS payments systems. As the technical lead, you will oversee the deployment, management, and assurance of Cloud & EFTPOS payment systems at both high and granular levels.
The day to day Engage with customers at various levels in meetings and workshops to manage expectations and outcomes. Review customer requirements and prepare plans and estimations for onboarding to service delivery. Manage digital, cloud, and data projects and delivery programs for customers. Develop solutions that align with agility, automation, cloud-native development, and cloud-first principles. Leverage expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP Cloud, DevOps, and Microservices for core business applications and infrastructure. Contribute to technology architecture and designs to drive automation and operational excellence. Develop SRE capabilities to support large and sensitive cloud workloads. Design and deliver solutions with embedded security, ensuring compliance with ISO, NIST, CIS, and GDPR. Support the sales process by performing scoping, sizing, and solution preparation, including proposals and documentation. Optimize performance and ensure system efficiency through automation and best practices. Evaluate new technology alternatives and vendor products. Mentor team members and contribute to skills development across the organisation. Your skills to pay the bills Strong experience in cloud engineering, IT project delivery, operations, and managed services. Expertise in AWS and / or Azure Cloud platform services, including architecture and security. Hands-on experience with modern architectural design, including microservices and serverless architectures. Deep understanding of industry-leading cloud operations tools for monitoring, alerting, security, and lifecycle management. Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable systems using AWS native services. Knowledge of integrations between systems, applications, and data platforms. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI / CD, and DevSecOps / DevOps methodologies. Experience with the latest technology stacks, including MEAN, MERN, Java, .NET, Node.js, and serverless computing (Lambdas). Strong background in automation and performance optimization. Understanding of ITIL best practices and industry service management frameworks. Excellent consultancy, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
