About The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for a senior leader to shape the direction of Fund Development, Marketing, Communications and Brand at an iconic national charity. You'll be stepping into a department ready for a fresh lens and strategic thinking. You’ll have the mandate to grow and transform a powerful legacy brand into an organisation that will thrive long into the future. You’ll be engaged in relationship-building with key stakeholders, working closely alongside the Chief Executive, delivering meaningful and enduring connections for the organisation.
This is a full time, hybrid role based in Auckland. This role works from the GirlGuiding New Zealand Auckland Office in Mt Eden at least two days per week, and remotely the rest of the time.
Some of your responsibilities will include :
- Masterminding compelling marketing campaigns designed to grow and transform engagement with this much-loved national charity
- Overseeing effective communications with many audiences, across internal and external stakeholder groups
- Leading and optimising multi-channel fundraising campaigns to engage and grow an individual giving donor community
- Using data-driven insights to enhance campaign performance
- Creating exceptional donor journeys that inspire long-term support
- Leading all aspects of the fundraising programme, including bequests, sponsorship and major donor giving
- Building long-lasting, valuable relationships with partners
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- 10+ years expertise in brand, communications and fundraising
- Understanding of or experience working in the not-for-profit sector
- Natural storytelling ability and can communicate the mission with clarity and impact
- A love for data and the key role it plays in effective fundraising
- Strong relationship-building skills and attention to detail
- Be committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or Advertising
- Experience managing successful fundraising campaigns targeting corporate sponsors, major donors, and monthly contributors
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, suited for diverse settings
- Financial management and budgeting capabilities
- An understanding of the needs and expectations of girls and young women
