National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Executive Coordinator to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.
The Executive Coordinator provides a range of executive, secretarial and administrative support services to support the Executive Director / s achievement of organisational objectives.
This role has considerable autonomy in the day-to-day delivery of administrative support services within the constraints of policies, procedures, guidelines, directives and deadlines and exercises sound judgement when answering and resolving complex enquiries. The role is also individually accountable for the quality, integrity and validity of the service provided.
About you
To be successful, you will work well in a team made up of Executive Coordinators and Executive Officers supporting the NPWS Executive Directors and Deputy Secretary. You will have experience in providing secretariat support to division or group committees as required including organising and scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and briefing papers, coordinating presentation materials and logistical requirements, minute taking, drafting and dissemination, documenting decision making processes and actioning items. In addition, you will also have experience in monitoring, implementing and evaluating administrative systems and procedures within the operational area / directorate / division to identify areas for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in providing a broad range of administrative and executive support to senior executive levels of an organisation, gained in a highly complex and fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to collate information, review processes and implement system improvements.
