Teacher | Senior Brisbane South Campus

Y Schools Queensland Senior Brisbane South Campus are in search for our next classroom hero as a Teacher  on a  Permanent Full-Time  basis to support in our School based in  Parkinson.

This teaching role will be based at our Parkinson campus for the rest of Term 4 2025 and Term 1 2026, with the potential to move to another Southside campus from Term 2 2026.

Teachers play a critical role in our schools and the engagement of our young people. Working with other amazingly successful peers, you will deliver curriculum and help our young people achieve their educational goals. This is not just a normal teaching position; it is a role where you make a difference every day to young people that have complex backgrounds and different learning abilities. Even a simple conversation can make a huge change to our young people. Teaching here at the Y allows you to work in a setting that values holistic development, community, and personal growth, which can be very fulfilling both professionally and personally.

What will my time look like?

• Delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students.
• Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students; and
• Support the Head of Campus / School in the operation of the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing and vocational objectives.
• Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment which is learner focused, safe, supportive and aligned to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with like-minded peers to plan, write and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.
• Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback and report on student learning.
• Supporting our incredible young people with a range of learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD / ADHD, low levels of literacy / numeracy, and mental illness.
• Support our young people to know success!
