About the Centre / Service We have introduced a new 2026 Program Timetable and are seeking TWO Diploma or Certificate III qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our team in our 3YO and 4YO programs. Canterbury & District Preschool (CDP) is a welcoming and inclusive community. You will be supported in your role by an experienced and friendly teaching team and committee of management with opportunities for professional learning, collaboration and enjoying teaching and learning within our beautiful, natural environment on the edge of community parklands. CDP is a community-managed, not-for-profit Kindergarten. We provide ACECQA Exceeding Rated 3 and 4 year old sessional Kindergarten programs. At CDP we are committed to : Promoting equity and respect for each child’s individuality autonomy and independence and interdependence; Encouraging and inspiring children’s thinking and individual skills; Providing a child safe environment where children are safe and feel safe and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives; Promoting and protecting the cultural safety and the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from culturally and / or linguistically diverse backgrounds, children with additional / directed needs and children experiencing vulnerability.

Work Days of the Role Role 1 - 3YO Program : Mondays and Thursdays; Role 2 - 4YO Program : Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Hours of Work of the Role 8.00am to 5.00pm each day (with 45 min lunch breaks / 30 mins unpaid) – session times are 8.30pm to 4.00pm each day

Responsibilities

• Building responsive, equitable and respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues and community
• Assisting with the planning and implementation of inspiring play-based learning programs to extend children’s interests, strengths and abilities
• Maintaining CDP’s high standards and commitment to continuous improvement
• Applying your commitment to and knowledge of the Child Safe Standards to contribute to a child safe organisation that recognises and values the diverse backgrounds of all children, families, and the local community
