The Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) provides dedicated mental health care to young people aged 12‑25 in Melbourne’s north and west, along with their families, carers, supporters and kin. Operating at sites across Melbourne’s north and west, PYMHWS is Victoria’s first standalone public mental health service built exclusively around young people’s needs.

The Opportunity
The Senior AOD Clinician is a key position within the Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS). FYMHS provides specialist youth mental health care in custodial settings (Parkville and Cherry Creek sites) to young people and their families / carers. Our service is made up of compassionate, curious, and committed people. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a committed Senior AOD Clinician to provide clinical leadership, dual diagnosis, supervision, and governance to a multidisciplinary team supporting young people in custody, with a focus on recovery‑oriented care.

About The Role
The Senior Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinician will work in collaboration with the Custodial FYMHS Specialist Services Lead and the Custodial FYMHS multidisciplinary team to develop excellence in clinical service delivery in the areas of specialist addiction assessment and intervention. You will be joining a skilled and supportive team in a dual diagnosis AOD specialist role to help develop and support an enhanced model of care across PYMHWS’ Custodial FYMHS team.

A mental health clinician experienced in, and passionate about, early intervention and evidence‑based care for young people experiencing severe mental health difficulties including personality disorder.
