About The Opportunity

Join Micromine, a global leader in mining technology, as our Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract . Reporting to the Head of Finance, Australia, you’ll play an integral role in supporting the financial operations across the APAC region. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance function within a fast-growing, innovative company, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence in all aspects of financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Statements, with detailed commentary on variances against budget and forecast.
  • Perform variance analysis on actuals versus budgets and forecasts for revenue, cost of sales, and operating expenses.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Licensing teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment for software sales, services, and deferred revenue.
  • Support the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of accounting policies, internal controls, and process improvements.
  • Provide general administrative and financial support, including assistance with onboarding new staff, office operations, and timesheet management.
  • About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (CPA / CA qualifications desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting and business administration roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems such as NetSuite (or similar).
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams.
  • A proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
