Site Manager - BESS / Energy Storage, South Gippsland, Victoria

Under 2 hours from Melbourne to site

Base plus ongoing 15% Site Incentive + Bonus

About the Role

This is the opportunity to join the team in a permanent capacity for one of their exciting projects based in South Gippsland, Victoria. You will be site-based at the project, less than 2 hours south-east from Melbourne CBD. The role presented will be working on a large utility-scale BESS construction project and with numerous projects planned for the future, you will be offered the opportunities to move to other projects secured in Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare site mobilisation and execution plan.
  • Manage site administration, organization and resource plan.
  • Manage planning, site execution schedule and follow the progress of activities.
  • Ensure local laws and regulations are followed.
  • Ensure site induction is carried out for all personnel working at site.
  • Organise meetings at site.
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection of work progress reports.
  • Manage site budget and costs.
  • Participate in subcontracting and local purchases.
  • Safeguard the compliance with Quality and HSSE policies and minimize risks at site execution.
  • Ensure the quality control at site.
  • Manage site demobilization activities.
  • Ensure that contractual requirements are fulfilled, and the project is handed over to the customer.

The Person

The successful candidate will likely have :

  • Solid experience of Site Manager experience ideally in energy or large-scale utility projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex engineering, construction and operational issues.
  • Very strong leadership skills
  • Highly organised, proactive, detail orientated and solution focused.
  • Safety is high priority to you, as the Site Manager, you will ensure that all safety measures are taken and the site / personnel are protected to a high standard
  • Able to commit to the required site-based roster or be permanently located close to site.
  • You will be already based in Australia with full working rights - visa sponsorship is NOT an option for this role
  • Additional Important Information

  • This is a site-based role and requires commitment to work on-site Monday to Friday 7am-6pm, Saturday 8am to 1pm.
  • You will be required to fulfil a roster of 3 months at a time on-site with 2 weeks break. This arrangement will be presented on a rotation structure.
  • The option to drive home on Saturday and return to site early Monday morning will be a choice for more locally based candidates.
  • For candidates considering a FIFO arrangement, all flights and accommodation will be provided.
  • Base salary plus super and 15% site uplift plus eligibility to bonus
  • Accommodation and expenses will be organised / covered by the client
  • You must be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency, visa sponsorship is not available for this role
