Key Responsibilities

• Deliver best practice blast engineering solutions and support to mining and quarrying blasting operations and technical projects across all customers.
• Ensure professional technical services are always provided in the field, as demonstrated by feedback from Shotfirers and customers.
• Provide innovative engineering support to achieve all desired customer design objectives.
• Provide written engineering support to tenders and proposals to win new work.
• Achieve desired fragmentation and engineered vibration results when using electronic initiation system.
• Develop and implement quality documents such as Mining and Quarry Management Plans, Blasting Methodologies, and Blasting Management Plans that could be sold as part of the service.
• Demonstrated competence in the use of survey techniques (face profiling, bore tracking, drill GPS integration).
• Demonstrated ability to undertake vibration and air overpressure monitoring, signature hole analysis and associated blast design and reporting.
• Manage, identify and report opportunities for blasting result improvement by monitoring, editing, and archiving all blasting videos submitted by shotfirers.
• Manage, prepare and present analytical data to customers demonstrating current cost parameters and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage the expansion of selected technical services skills by training and mentoring designated senior shot firers to be competent users of equipment in the field.
