Based in Melbourne, we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our high‑performing Surgical Workplaces (SWP) team on a 24‑month fixed‑term contract, with the view to permanency.
About the role
As an Account Manager – Surgical Workplaces, you will take ownership of a territory that has been strategically built and is now primed for conversion and growth. Reporting to the National Sales Manager – ANZ, you will drive new business across hospitals and surgical environments, while managing and expanding relationships with existing clients.
In this role you will :
- Implement the SWP strategic sales plan across Victoria, while supporting select clients in SA and TAS
- Drive capital equipment sales across operating theatre solutions, including lights, tables, pendants, ceiling integration units, and digital integration platforms
- Manage the full sales cycle, from business development and lead generation to closing and post‑sale support
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product specialists, commercial operations, and service teams to deliver client‑centric solutions
- Target competitor accounts and leverage long‑standing customer relationships to drive growth
- Execute go‑to‑market strategies for new product launches and regional campaigns
- Attend national and regional meetings, contributing insights and updates from the field
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and financial reporting
About you
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical device or capital equipment sales, preferably within operating theatres or hospital environmentsStrong understanding of surgical workflows and equipment, or the ability to quickly learn complex systemsA proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targetsExceptional relationship‑building skills with clinical and executive‑level stakeholdersSelf‑motivation and a solutions‑oriented approach to managing a complex and long‑lead sales cycleA high level of personal accountability, organisation, and follow‑throughExcellent communication, presentation, and CRM / reporting skillsCurious, eager to learn and capable of digesting product information quickly and efficientlyEmpathetic and professional – someone who earns trust quickly and shows genuine commitment to customersWhat’s in it for you
