About the role
The Carer Promotion, Recruitment and Development Support Officer works within MacKillop’s Pilbara Service Delivery Operational Team with support from the Foster Care Development team based in Perth.
There is an immediate and chronic shortage of Foster Carers and this position’s main responsibilities are to proactively engage Community, Family, Industry and across-Sector, to support the promotion of foster care across the Pilbara - with an additional focus on Port Hedland and Karratha.
This includes rethinking conventional ways of promotion, advertisement, engagement, marketing and attraction activities and converting these ideas into actions.
The Carer Promotion, Recruitment and Development Support Officer will assist in the development and implementation of a clear new strategic plan to promote and attract foster care applicants in the Pilbara using contemporary and alternative approaches. A component of this role is to assist with recruitment, development and retention of foster carers, provide support to the local team around carer compliance systems to ensure MacKillop is working effectively and adheres to the recruitment and authorisation processes.
This is a Full-Time opportunity based in Port Hedland (Preferred) or Karratha WA within our Pilbara Service Delivery Operational Team. The position reports to the Pilbara Services Team Project Coordinator.
