This is a unique opportunity to apply your data science expertise to real-world challenges—designing sustainable funding models, improving patient outcomes and delivering actionable insights that support Medibank’s customer and financial goals.

About the Role

As a Senior Data Science Analyst, you’ll lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics solutions across funding, customer, and hospital domains. You’ll develop predictive models, risk‑adjusted frameworks, and strategic insights that inform care planning, resource allocation, and commercial strategy.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across clinical, funding, and policy teams to co‑design data‑driven solutions that align incentives, improve outcomes and enhance the customer journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate complex healthcare funding and value‑based care challenges into data science opportunities
• Design and evaluate funding models (e.g., bundled payments, capitation, risk‑adjusted) using advanced analytics and machine learning
• Build predictive and prescriptive models to support proactive care planning and early intervention
• Deliver end‑to‑end analytics—from data mining and modelling to strategy implementation and test‑and‑learn experiments
• Partner with business units to ensure adoption of insights and promote data‑driven decision‑making
• Research and apply emerging data science tools and techniques to deepen customer understanding and improve system‑wide value
• Collaborate with Platform Hub and external partners to execute the data science roadmap
