Introduction
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager, Pumps - Australia East to join our Pumps team. You will support and develop Pumps business lines technologies portfolio -Pumps, Valves, Hose and Cyclones - and provide onsite and offsite technical sales support for Metso team and customers. You will collaborate with the other business teams to ensure exceptional customer experience. In this position, you will report to the Director, Pumps. This position will be based in Kalgoorlie or Perth, though we are open to other locations in Western Australia.
What you'll do
- Responsible for profitable Pumps PG sales growth, both capex and services for assigned Sites. Proactively develop and identify sales opportunities as well as responding to RFQ’s, RFI’s and tenders, to ensure consistent growth in the allocated area, year on year.
- Having a winning mindset and ensuring responsiveness to customers in assigned Territory.
- Troubleshooting equipment and service problems, with the assistance of Technical experts.
- Develop and achieve growth and aftermarket retention strategies that cascade down into site specific objectives customised to individual customers’ needs
- Track & report market share and opportunity gap analysis, focusing on closing the gap.
- Develop pump trial proposals based on justifiable business case.
- Provide accurate quarterly budgeting and forecasting activities for allocated sites.
- Prepare and maintain all customer records, using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Build rapport and respect as the trusted advisor for slurry pumping needs.
- Ensure Customers receive first-class customer care and service.
- Ensure that majority of time is spent having face to face interactions with the Customers.
- Train key Customer personnel in application and operation of pumping products
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry processes, competitors and commercial influences.
