Unilink Software Australia – Business Development Executive
Unilink Software Australia is a rapidly expanding subsidiary of Unilink Limited, a long time supplier of prisoner self-service and offender management systems to the UK Justice sector and more recently, Europe. With a 50% leap in revenues this year, we are looking to recruit a pro‑active, ambitious and passionate Business Development Executive to support the local Managing Director in leveraging this growth to cement our pre‑eminent position in the Australian market.
This role is ideal for a new business hunter profile. You will be a sales over‑achiever with excellent communication skills and a consistent track record of exceeding quota through a direct sales process.

Responsibilities
- Pipeline Generation – Direct responsibility for further generation of a solid pipeline of potential new business opportunities.
- Annual Revenues – Help set and exceed quota targets and close new business sales.
- Sales Strategies – Work with senior management to develop effective and specific account plans with existing customers to ensure revenue target delivery and ‘land and expand’ sustainable growth. Develop value added relationships with new customers to drive strategy throughout the organisation. This is a significant opportunity to shape and influence Unilink’s business agenda in Australia and New Zealand.
- Customer Acumen – Actively understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and the competitive landscape. Review public information (e.g., new executive appointments, earnings statements, press releases) for the company and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the customer.
- Account Leadership – Lead account relationships, prospect profiling, and sales cycles.
- Business Planning – In conjunction with senior management, develop and deliver a comprehensive business plan to address customers priorities. Utilize Strategic Value Assessment methodologies, benchmarking and data to support the customer’s decision process.
Experience / Knowledge / Personal Style
A successful software sales history including opening new accounts.Ideally will have experience selling to the Australian Justice sector.Tertiary qualifications.A technical bent.Must be a self‑starter with the ability to drive products and business strategies to create demand.Entrepreneurial spirit and knows how to win.Hard‑working, driven, energetic, competitive and highly creative.Seniority level
