Project Support Officer

Job descriptionMaintain accurate project documentation, including registers for risks, issues, decisions, and actions. Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies using project management tools. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and follow up on actions. Monitor project budgets and provide reports on variances and expenditure. Support resource management processes, including onboarding and offboarding contractors. Prepare project status reports for governance and leadership forums. Ensure compliance with ICT governance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies. Demonstrated experience in a Project Support Officer or similar coordination role, ideally within ICT or government environments. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and SharePoint for tracking, reporting, and administration. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining documentation accuracy. Relevant training or certification in project management or business analysis (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile BA, PMBOK) is desirable. Familiarity with Queensland Government ICT frameworks quoting REF # . Project Support Officer – ICT Category Management & Sourcing
A large Queensland Government department is seeking a Project Support Officer to assist the delivery of ICT sourcing and contract management projects that enable modern, efficient, and innovative technology outcomes across government.
