Senior SEO Content Strategist

Overview

Hire Digital is seeking a Senior SEO Content Strategist to lead both technical SEO and editorial content strategy. This role requires a strategic thinker who can integrate SEO insights, audience data, and content planning to drive measurable organic growth. The ideal candidate excels at combining on-page and technical SEO expertise with data-informed storytelling to shape content calendars that resonate with lifestyle audiences.

Responsibilities

• SEO Strategy (Technical & On-Page) : Conduct technical audits and implement on-site improvements to enhance site crawlability, speed, and indexation. Optimize website architecture, metadata, and internal linking structure to improve organic visibility and user experience. Track and report on SEO performance across key KPIs using tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Looker Studio. Collaborate with web developers and stakeholders to implement technical recommendations and structured data improvements. Monitor algorithm changes and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain search performance.
• Content Strategy & Editorial Planning : Leverage keyword research, trend analysis, and social listening tools to create content strategies aligned with target audiences (travel / lifestyle). Translate SEO insights into actionable editorial calendars, supporting content writers with structured briefs and optimization guidelines. Identify gaps in existing content and recommend new opportunities based on data, seasonality, and customer interests. Work closely with client stakeholders and internal teams to align content direction with brand tone and business objectives. Collaborate on campaign-level content planning, ensuring SEO best practices are applied across all deliverables.
