About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Planner to join our Perth based Projects team. The role is offered on a 12-month Max Term contract. Reporting functionally to the Senior VP of Projects and operationally to the Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project planning systems, schedules, and reporting to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules across feasibility, design, and execution phases wherever applicable
- Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities into a cohesive master schedule dependent on project type
- Monitor schedule progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies
- Manage change control processes, ensuring schedule baselines are maintained and updated as required
- Lead the planning function across multiple projects, providing guidance and mentoring to planners and schedulers
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Controls teams to ensure alignment of schedules with scope, budget, and resourcing
- Provide regular schedule status reports, progress updates, and forecasts to stakeholders
- Perform critical path analysis, resource loading, and scenario planning to support project decision‑making
- Ensure deliverables meet contractual obligations and client requirements
Qualifications
Tertiary degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field - DesirableExperience in a similar role - EssentialProficiency in project management software - Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools10+ years experience in project planning and scheduling within the mining and resources industryLeadership capability with a collaborative and mentoring styleExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex project dataEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholdersCompensation and Benefits
