The Opportunity
A full-time Emergency Medicine Consultant opportunity within a rapidly expanding metropolitan teaching hospital less than 45 minutes from Melbourne CBD.
This Emergency Department manages over 70,000 presentations annually and continues to grow alongside one of Victoria’s fastest expanding population corridors. You will join an established FACEM-led team delivering high-acuity emergency care across adult and paediatric cohorts.
This role is suited to FACEMs and substantially comparable international specialists seeking metropolitan scale with strong departmental structure and ongoing service expansion.

The Hospital
This large metropolitan teaching hospital provides comprehensive services including:
• Emergency medicine
• Intensive Care
• Obstetrics and maternity
• Paediatrics
• Oncology
• Mental health
• Rehabilitation and Hospital in the Home

The hospital is undergoing significant redevelopment, expanding ED capacity and inpatient services in line with regional growth.
The Emergency Department:
• 70,000+ annual presentations
• ACEM accredited training site (24 months)
• Supported by ICU and inpatient specialties
• Strong FACEM supervision model
• Rapidly expanding infrastructure

Requirements
• Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
• FACEM or eligible
• ACEM trainee approaching Fellowship
• International Medical Graduates assessed by ACEM as partially or substantially comparable
