Allied Health Assistant / Clinical Assistant - Talent Pool - Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health
We are a workforce that continues to work towards closing the gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We strive to have safe and inclusive work environments and practices to enable this. To best be able to serve our local community we strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders people seeking work opportunities as Allied Health Assistants to apply for any temporary positions. There may be times this talent pool is utilised to recruit specifically to identified roles.
The Talent Pool will be used to fill casual and temporary vacancies as they arise and may be used for Transfer at Level opportunities for Queensland Health employees. This advert is not for one specific position.
You will assist the Allied Health workforce (this may include Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, Audiologist, Orthoptists, Podiatrists) to provide high quality patient focussed therapeutic interventions under a delegated model of care across a range of SCHHHS services and facilities. This assistance will include therapeutic individual or group sessions as well as nonclinical tasks, to contribute to the efficient operation of the clinical service. This talent pool does not recruit assistants in the following workforces; nursing, pharmacy assistants, laboratory or phlebotomy, radiology, medical research.
There are various services across SCHHS that employ Allied Health Assistants (AHAs)/Clinical Assistants (CAs). Many of these services support adult patient groups. These services are based in acute inpatient wards and ICU, subacute rehabilitation services, outpatient speciality clinics and community-based services. The exception to this is the outpatient Audiology Clinic who support both adult and paediatric clients.
