As Senior Manager Risk in Change, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s approach to managing risk across strategic initiatives. You’ll design and embed a fit for purpose framework that ensures risks are identified early, managed proactively, and clearly reported across our change portfolio.
This is a high impact role where you’ll partner closely with senior leaders, initiative owners, and delivery teams, helping uplift capability and drive consistency in how risk is managed through change.
You’ll also provide insightful reporting and enterprise level analysis for Executives ensuring the right risks are visible and understood, and that key decisions are informed by robust risk insights.
Position Accountabilities
In this role, you’ll :
- Develop and refine the Risk in Change methodology ensuring practical, scalable tools that help the business manage both delivery and delivered risks.
- Embed project assurance and health check practices that provide meaningful oversight and confidence to senior stakeholders.
- Coach and support delivery teams and initiative owners to strengthen their risk management maturity and consistency.
- Provide independent second line challenges on risk assessments and ensure risks are appropriately escalated and monitored.
- Deliver clear, insightful reporting to Executives and Steering Committees on material issues, emerging risks, and trends across the change portfolio.
- Continuously evolve the framework using internal learnings and external best practice.
What experience you’ll bring
We’re looking for a confident, collaborative leader who can turn complex risk concepts into practical business outcomes. You’ll bring :
8+ years’ experience in risk management, ideally with a focus on risk in change or major transformation programs.Demonstrated success in building or embedding risk frameworks within large or complex organisations.Experience operating in a second line of defence role, providing independent oversight and credible challenge.Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills comfortable working with senior leaders and cross functional teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create training, guidance and executive level reporting.Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, governance frameworks, and PMO functions.Experience in financial services or regulated industries is an advantage.Location –Toowong
