About Clarence Correctional Centre

Opened in 2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia, located on the NSW North Coast.

Impact

Deliver patient‑centered care to approximately 1,700 male and female inmates, providing primary care, chronic disease management, and health education.

Role

As a Registered Nurse – Chronic Disease, you will identify, manage, and support patients with chronic conditions, conduct assessments, develop care plans, coordinate referrals, and deliver health education. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence‑based and culturally appropriate care.

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum 2 years post‑graduate experience (ideally in chronic disease, primary health, or correctional health)
• Post‑graduate qualifications desirable
• Willingness to complete a comprehensive probity assessment including a National Police Check
• ALS, BLS
• Vaccination evidence
• Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical and psychometric test
