A pivotal role with scope to make a real impact for an experienced, all-round accounting professional. Join a reputable and growing construction and fit-out group in a key finance role. You will work closely with the CFO and Director to ensure financial accuracy, reporting integrity, and the smooth running of daily accounting operations.

Salary and benefits

Salary circa $110k + superannuation, negotiable commensurate with experience

About the opportunity

Manage all aspects of the accounting function, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger

Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and management reporting packs

Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes and support project cost tracking

Ensure compliance with tax, BAS, superannuation, and statutory obligations

Liaise with external auditors and advisors as required

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency

About you

The client will ideally engage an experienced Finance Manager / Senior Accountant with demonstrated relevant industry experience.

CPA or CA qualified

Demonstrated experience with core functions of the role, in industry

Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and compliance requirements

Confident communicator with the ability to partner effectively across operations and senior management

Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

Full Australian Working Rights

Nice-to-have

Experience managing a small finance team or supervising others

Multi-entity experience

Exposure to project accounting or job costing

Familiarity with payroll processing and HRIS systems

The client is motivated to engage the right person and will negotiate a salary based on experience and capabilities. Salary circa $110,000 + superannuation; relevantly experienced more senior candidates are encouraged to apply and remuneration will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
