Where You'll Be Working
You’ll be based at Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital, a friendly and close‑knit rural health service surrounded by the natural beauty of the Manning Valley. The hospital provides inpatient care for up to 16 patients, along with outpatient and hydrotherapy services that support people on their rehabilitation journey with a strong focus on holistic, person‑centred care.
At Wingham you’ll be part of a small, dedicated team of nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, HealthShare staff and security, all working together to deliver coordinated and compassionate care.
About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist at Wingham Community Hospital, you’ll play a key role in helping patients regain independence and quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs. You will work as part of a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with other health professionals to deliver holistic, goal‑directed care.
This position is job‑shared with an experienced Occupational Therapist, providing built‑in support and the opportunity to learn from a skilled colleague.
You will receive a thorough two‑day orientation, with flexibility to extend this if needed, ensuring you feel confident and well prepared in your role. Ongoing support is available through a network of Occupational Therapists at Manning Base Hospital, as well as regular peer supervision.
