Position Information
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world‑class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non‑government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
Wahroonga Public School, founded in 1944, is situated on Garigal land and acknowledges the Garingai people. It is affectionately known as ‘The Bush School’ due to its native Blue Gum High Forest setting and attractive grounds, both natural and built. Current enrolment is 505 students, across 20 mainstream classes, 3 support classes and 1 OC class, with 44% of students from a non‑English language background. The school caters for all students and prides itself on a culture of inclusion and participation. It sees strong academic achievement and strives to achieve a balance between high expectations for academic learning while providing a nurturing environment with student wellbeing at the core.
Total Remuneration Package : The hourly rate for this position is $40.64. The total salary package will include employer’s contribution to superannuation and leave loading.
About the Role
A School Administrative Officer provides administrative, financial and student welfare / wellbeing support and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities, including but not limited to the following school settings : the office, sick bay, library, science laboratory, and food technology / kitchen areas.
