Job description

Graduate Program opportunity to develop underwriting expertise in Financial Lines at AIG, a global leader in insurance.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include :

  • Assisting underwriters in evaluating insurance applications for product coverage.
  • Reviewing risk submissions to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, authority, and AIG principles.
  • Conducting research and analysis on properties, including inspections and assessments.
  • Gathering and verifying information from clients, agents, and databases.
  • Assisting in the preparation of underwriting reports and proposals.
  • Collaborating with claims and sales departments to ensure accurate risk assessment.
  • Supporting policy issuance and endorsement processes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of underwriting activities.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, regulations, and underwriting guideline changes.
  • Providing excellent customer service to clients and agents, addressing inquiries professionally.

About You

What you'll need :

  • Graduated within the last 2 years by February 2026.
  • Outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to the insurance industry.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Curious nature with a customer service mindset and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with ability to deliver high-quality services and positive client experiences.
  • Passion for customer service excellence and relationship building.
  • High initiative, prioritisation skills, time management, and organisational ability.
  • Strong business acumen with data analysis and decision-making capabilities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, or Law are desirable.
