About The Role
As a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team at our Redbank Automated Distribution Centre (ADC), the Health and Safety Specialist leads and manages the overall safety performance of the ADC. Reporting in to the National Safety Manager for our ADCs, you will act as the site’s Subject Matter Expert and provide information to enable the ADC to achieve strategic safety objectives, performance targets and compliance. You'll take pride in fostering and maintaining a work environment conducive to operational excellence and continuous improvement, employee engagement and the highest levels of safe working practices.
- Implement safety strategies in partnership with State Managers and key stakeholders
- Provide direction, advice and practical support on safety matters
- Ensure legislative requirements and good practice are achieved within the site
- Support HSE management systems and initiatives
- Ensure the identification of emerging risk exposures, develop and monitor risk registers and ensure mitigation of identified risks are put into effect
- Facilitate root cause analysis and incident investigations
- Audit systems and the close‑out of corrective actions
About You And Your Skills
Previous experience working in a Senior Safety leadership role in a high risk industry, such as FMCG, manufacturing or transportProven record of successfully implementing strategic plansProven record of driving and supporting change within teamsProven record of providing technical expertise and coaching various operational levelsCertificate IV or above in SafetyICAM certification preferred but not essentialStrong communication skills that can influence great outcomesAbility to collaborate with a range of stakeholdersKnowledge of relevant H&S LegislationWhat’s in it for you?
