A multi award winning building contractor with a fantastic history of success and an exceptionally low turnover of staff are seeking a Project Manager. They specialise in constructing industrial facilities, heavy refurbishment projects, hospitality venues, and community buildings.
The portfolio includes technically complex commercial construction projects that often involve staged works, live environments, engineering challenges and tight deadlines. Project values range from $5M to $60M.
Some of the fit out and refurbishment projects feature intricate services and significant structural components, often carried out within occupied buildings for high profile clients with ambitious standards.
They are looking for a Project Manager who can demonstrate leadership qualities and values a genuine long‑term partnership which is exactly the type of commitment the Company offers in return. For the right candidate there is a clear pathway to Senior Project Management and Construction Management.
To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate experience managing both new build and fit out and refurbishment projects from concept to completion as a lead Project Manager. This experience should be with recognised building contractors and span more than a couple of years.
A strong commercial understanding of projects is essential, alongside excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting, trusted relationships with all stakeholders. They are looking for someone who is technically minded while also possessing exceptional communication skills.
This is a rare opportunity to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. You might not be working on a huge landmark project, but you will not be one of many people at the same level and you will not be doing one segment of a project. You will have proper ownership of projects and be a decision maker. You will always have a Contract Administrator and a Cadet assigned to all of your projects but it will be your responsibility to finalise the cost reports.
You will be a key person, in a financially secure, stable company where teamwork is central and everyone is focused on delivering complex projects while consistently exceeding client expectations.
This is an investment hire and so there is flexibility with the start date. A commencement immediately is acceptable, as is a start at the beginning of or the end of January 2026.
