Trinity Petroleum Services is proudly locally operated and a long-standing supplier of fuel and lubricants across Queensland. We specialise in the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of petroleum products to a diverse range of customers — from retail sites and transport operators to agriculture and industrial businesses. With two depots and 16 Fuel & Convenience retail outlets across North Queensland, we’re continuing to grow, and we’re looking for the right person to join us on that journey.
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Fleet & Driver Manager to lead our Cairns tanker driver team and ensure our fleet run smoothly, safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards. This role is all about keeping our drivers safe, our vehicles moving, and our customers happy.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a team of Cairns-based tanker drivers
- Managing fleet utilisation, scheduling support, maintenance planning and cost control
- Planning, co-ordinating and overseeing maintenance of all fleet vehicles (including light vehicles), managing service providers, tyre programs and cost control
- Ensuring compliance with DG, NHVR, SLP and company safety standards
- Conducting driver onboarding, annual performance reviews, toolbox meetings and ongoing training
- Ensuring equipment is up to standard for annual Certificate of Inspection for all fleet, including booking, tracking and sign off
- Conducting regular audits and managing compliance with safety standards
- Investigating incidents and supporting a culture of continuous safety improvement
- Monitoring Navman data, driver fatigue history, logbook compliance and safety checks
- Maintaining accurate paperwork, fleet records, registrations and regulatory documentation
Qualifications
2–3 years of depot or fleet management experience (petroleum industry preferred)Understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules and supplier managementStrong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and Driver Fatigue legislationDemonstrated leadership experience in an operational environmentSolid understanding of EH&S and quality systemsExcellent communication, problem solving and reporting skillsProficiency with logistics software and systemsAdvanced computer literacy and attention to detailA proactive attitude, energy and enthusiasmWhy Join Trinity Petroleum?
