Salary : Clerk Grade 9 / 10, $129,464 to $142,665 pa, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your Role

Lead complex projects with impact! We’re looking for a dynamic experienced Senior Project Officer to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of diverse and meaningful initiatives that shape outcomes for our communities. As part of the Programs & Partnerships Communities team, you will report to the Senior Program Manager and be responsible for managing and coordinating the development, delivery and evaluation of office fit‑out, civil works, and sustainability projects. You will take a project leadership role in the delivery of diverse projects, initiatives and activities for our frontline services in Child Protection, Homes NSW, Youth Justice and Community Corrections and maintenance of our Disability Group Homes portfolio. Our Program and Partnerships team are committed to making a difference in the work we do, delivering human centred solutions to create improved environments for our frontline colleagues taking care of our NSW community.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a program of work and drive planning, design, development, and implementation across a varied portfolio.
• Bring people together, manage resources and budgets, and ensure every milestone is met with precision and purpose.
• Take ownership of the full project lifecycle—developing robust plans, aligning resources, and ensuring delivery is on time, on budget and aligned with government priorities.
• Deal with procurement, manage contractors and consultants, and keep things aligned to NSW Government infrastructure delivery procedures.
• Work closely with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders to ensure every project meets its objectives and delivers long‑term value.
• Provide clear, timely updates to senior leaders, anticipate risks before they arise and keep everything moving forward with confidence and clarity.
• Lead projects that leave a legacy and create safer, more accessible, and more resilient infrastructure for the communities who need it most.
• Expand your project / program management capability, gaining valuable knowledge, insight and experience into best practice programs, governance, systems and tools.
