About the role
We’re seeking a Site Planner-Scheduler to join our dynamic team in Griffith. In this key role, you’ll coordinate and optimise production schedules, ensuring every order flows through the factory on time, in full, and to spec. Working closely with internal teams and customers, you’ll drive efficiency, quality, and service excellence.
Scheduling (Primary)
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring all jobs meet customer deadlines and DIFOT expectations.
- Monitor and manage scheduling daily, resolving conflicts or delays through effective communication and problem‑solving.
- Allocate jobs to appropriate press technologies based on label specifications, material requirements, and production efficiency.
- Liaise with the Production Manager to align planned work with operational capacity, labor availability, and performance targets.
- Communicate accurate lead times and delivery schedules to internal teams, adjusting plans as needed.
- Identify potential delivery risks early and collaborate with Services to implement proactive solutions.
- Assist in planning and coordinating Customer Technical Visits (CTVs), ensuring alignment between Production, Services, and client expectations.
- Maintain accurate capacity and machine performance data to support scheduling accuracy.
- Prepare and deliver press performance and schedule updates for production discussions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through process reviews and efficiency gains.
- Foster high‑level communication across departments, especially between CSRs and Production.
- Provide administrative support to the leadership team as required.
- Provide local and group (Intranet) lead‑time updates.
- Cooperate on quality investigations related to schedule or production performance issues.
- Participate in special projects and other duties within the Scheduling scope.
Planning (Secondary)
Provide secondary support to scheduling during periods of increased workload or staff absence.Ensure accurate and timely entry of job specifications and planning data.Plan and schedule jobs to support cost‑effective production and optimal performance outcomes.Monitor planning workload daily, prioritising tasks based on urgency and business impact.Proactively manage and communicate discrepancies, escalating to Services or General Manager.Collaborate with CSRs, Production, and Services to address potential delays and maintain customer alignment.Maintain quality and accuracy of planning outputs.Support continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements.About you
Previous experience as a Scheduler, Planner, or in a similar role in the print manufacturing industry.Proficient in MS Office Suite and planning / scheduling software.High level of maturity and credibility to influence others and build strong relationships.Keen eye for detail and ability to manage multiple priorities proactively.Excellent presentation, communication and problem‑solving skills.Benefits
