This is a permanent, full-time opportunity supporting the NSW Asphalt business, with a national Health and Safety team. The role involves partnering with operational leaders to align risk and safety controls, travelling to sites to engage with leaders and employees, and building strong, lasting stakeholder relationships to deliver positive safety outcomes. A motor vehicle allowance is provided to support travel to various sites across NSW.
Responsibilities
- Constructively working with and supporting operational leaders on risk management
- Building operational teams health and safety capacity by providing specialist health and safety advice, support and coaching
- Supporting the roll out and implementation of the Boral Health & Safety Strategy and Business Unit Plan
- Facilitation and management of incident response and subsequent analysis and learnings
- Supporting operations in appropriate preparation, management and response to HSE Regulatory Compliance inspections, audits, statutory reports and prescribed incident notifications
- Facilitating the implementation of the HSEQ Management System & National Programs
- Ensuring Assurance Audits are completed in line with the Audit and Assurance Program and monitoring closeout of WHS actions
What we’re looking for
A positive and proactive approach with a willingness and commitment to partnering with and supporting operational teamsProven experience in a similar role, with strong skills in incident investigations and facilitating learnings from incidentsExperience in a high-risk and industrial environment; experience in bituminous manufacturing, construction or infrastructure is highly regardedProven experience implementing organisational change within complex environmentsKnowledge of WHS regulations, systems, processes and information systemsCert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety with tertiary qualifications ideallySuperior interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and communication with the ability to build solid relationshipsWhat’s on Offer
