About the role

Curtin University’s Properties, Facilities and Development team is seeking a Supervisor, Parks & Gardens to oversee the maintenance and enhancement of our vibrant Public Realm and green assets. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of horticulture and grounds professionals across Curtin’s campuses. You’ll combine hands-on leadership with technical and administrative expertise to ensure our landscapes remain safe, sustainable, and visually inspiring.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the maintenance of Curtin’s parks, gardens, and tree assets in line with industry standards and best practice.
• Lead and develop a positive, safe, and high-performing horticulture team.
• Provide expert advice on landscape development and contribute to capital works planning.
• Implement and monitor preventative maintenance systems and tree management programs.
• Manage contractors, procurement, and machinery maintenance in line with University policies.
• Support the development of annual operating and capital budgets.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of major University events from a horticultural perspective.

Selection Criteria

You are an experienced horticulture or arboriculture professional with a passion for green spaces and sustainability. You bring proven leadership in team coordination, a strong understanding of amenity horticulture and tree management, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
