Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing :
- Participate in a structured 2-year Graduate Mental Health Nurse Program supporting transition from undergraduate to registered nurse with mental health specialty skills.
- Work fixed term part-time (64 hours per fortnight) across AM / PM / Night shifts on a Monday to Sunday roster.
- Rotate placements across Werribee Mercy Hospital, Werribee Community Care Unit, Wyndham Clinic, and Saltwater Clinic in Footscray.
- Provide compassionate and responsive care to patients in need within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Engage in clinical supervision, reflective practice, and paid professional development days supported by the Learning & Development Team.
- Adapt to changing operational hours and team requirements across multiple sites.
About You
The company is looking for :
Completion of a Bachelor of Nursing by the academic year 2025.Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA by February 2026.Enthusiasm, motivation to learn, and passion for mental health nursing.Ability to work rostered shifts across various Mercy Health sites.Excellent clinical, time management, organisational, and communication skills with adaptability and problem-solving ability.Compassionate, flexible, and positive approach to patient care, including involvement of carers and lived experience.Ability to build respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.Evidence of or in process of obtaining : current Police Record Check, Working with Children Check, COVID-19 certificate, influenza vaccination, full Australian working rights, and full Australian driver’s licence.Training & Development
