About the Organization
St Mary’s Flexible School is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition. There are 22 Flexible Schools throughout Australia that offer a full-time and multi‑year secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Enrolled young people may express a broad range of complex education and social needs, and flexible schools respond with a variety of innovative teaching and learning practices, including vocational planning and development of social connectedness.
The purpose of a Flexible School is to provide young people with a varied and holistic set of learning experiences that support them to identify and pursue an individual transition to adulthood, employment, further education and training, and social connectedness.
About the Role
Each Flexi School has a Head of Campus who has delegated responsibility from the Area Principal and Regional Director for the day‑to‑day management and leadership of the campus. The Head of Campus provides leadership and supervision to staff and the young people of the community, working collaboratively with the Area Principal, Regional Support Team members and other EREA Flexi Schools personnel as required.
