�� Rate : $62.59 / hr + super

�� Contract : Nov 2025 – Apr 2026 (possible extension to Sept 2026)

�� Hours : 36.25 per week | 9 or 10-day fortnight option

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Principal Engineer – Floodplain Management to provide specialist technical expertise and lead complex floodplain investigations for critical community and infrastructure projects.

This role provides leave coverage within a highly skilled Drainage, Waterways and Coastal Planning team, ensuring the continued delivery of essential floodplain management programs across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert engineering advice on floodplain management, hydrology, and flood modelling.
• Lead and review flood studies and risk assessments to support strategic and infrastructure planning.
• Maintain and enhance flood data systems including the Regional Flood Database (RFD) and Flood Check Property Report (RCPR).
• Prepare and present complex technical reports, recommendations, and modelling outputs.
• Contribute to flood warning systems, emergency response support, and technical leadership across the team.
• Mentor and support junior engineers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
