Associate - Dispute Resolution, Restructuring & Insolvency

Overview

Associate - Dispute Resolution (Restructuring & Insolvency) role. The opportunity is with Baker McKenzie’s Dispute Resolution & Restructuring & Insolvency group. The position is located in Melbourne and targets a lawyer with 2 - 4 years’ PQE.

About You

• 2 - 4 years’ PQE in commercial litigation (restructuring & insolvency experience valued but not a pre-requisite);
• relevant experience in a top tier or leading international law firm (preferred);
• a strong client service focus;
• strong technical, drafting and commercial skills;
• business development aptitude, interest, and experience;
• excellent analytical, written and oral communication, and legal research skills;
• a commitment to high standards and attention to detail;
• an ability to develop strong relationships with clients and take responsibility for these relationships;
• an ability to demonstrate initiative and proactivity;
• an ability to work well in a team environment (including across Australian offices and internationally);
• a willingness to learn;
• a willingness to develop others through mentoring and sharing experiences;
• relevant legal qualifications; and
• a strong academic background.
