You will work with families and children aged 0-5, delivering the Healthy Child Programme across South Cambridgeshire.

- Provide support to families facing challenges such as mental health difficulties, disabilities, or complex needs.

Holds an NVQ Level 3 in Child Development (or equivalent)Has a strong understanding of child developmentIs confident in providing advice and guidance to familiesThrives both in team settings and when working independentlyMain duties of the job
Support the integrated 0-19 Healthy Child Programme (HCP) locality team in providing an innovative and high quality service in an environment that enhances client care and promotes child and family wellbeing.Act autonomously to support ongoing assessment and review of clients and manage a specified caseload identified as needing further support as part of universal and universal plus service provision.Act as first contact in clinics and outreach locations ensuring a high standard of client care, and liaise regularly with the caseload holder to assist in the co-ordination and development of the service.Develop specialist interest areas to enrich knowledge and skills within the Cambridgeshire Children & Young Peoples Service.Facilitate health programmes independently or in partnership with health and locality teams.Participate in continuous service improvement within the organisation / service priorities.About us

Job responsibilities
To assist the caseload holder in the management and delivery of care to clients autonomously. Duties may include :
Building on existing assessment of families needs and delivering packages of planned care with no direct supervisionProviding and receiving complex and sensitive child-related information from health and social care staff to determine referrals and appropriate signpostingSupporting clients with more complex / additional needsDemonstrating motivation and behaviour change with children and families to enable self-efficacy, resilience and strength-based relationshipsRecognising and reporting health and safety or risk issuesWriting concise, accurate and timely records in line with policyCarrying out specified assessment and intervention with own initiative and modifying as neededHolding own caseload with support from SCPHN for planned packages of careHolding a special interest role and supporting staff within locality and servicePromoting equality, diversity and rights; ensuring safety and dignity for all clientsPromoting positive health choices and planning / organising health education eventsJob Purpose : The post holder will work as part of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme skills-mix team to promote health and wellbeing of children, young people and families using an early-help and partnership approach.
The post holder will be expected to :

Qualifications & Training
NNEB or equivalentBTEC National Diploma in Children\'s Care, Learning and DevelopmentCACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and EducationNVQ Level 3 in Children\'s Care, Learning and DevelopmentFoundation degree in a relevant areaCare Certificate or willingness to undertake within 6 months of employmentExperience
