Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School (KBCHS) was opened in 2006 and proudly offers secondary courses from Year 7 to 10. The Role
As a key member of the administrative team, you would work closely with the Principal to provide educational leadership both within the school and the broader community. Your primary focus will be on developing and promoting the school's vision, encouraging active participation from school staff, community volunteers, and other stakeholders, all within the context of the Arts, and Design and Technology learning areas.
In your capacity as a curriculum leader, you should play a crucial role in providing professional guidance to Arts, and Design and Technology teachers, ensuring that they stay informed on relevant curriculum issues within your designated area. You should be instrumental in facilitating teaching and learning outcomes, employing effective performance management strategies, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement among the school's academic community.
A key aspect of your role may involve implementing change management strategies to lead the school community in accepting and developing opportunities for improved service within your specified subject area. Your contributions should extend to the collaborative development of the school plan, involving participative decision-making, policy development, and the establishment of necessary systems.

Teachers and school administrators employed at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $4 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
