Job description

This position is in-home care setting, not in residential facilities.

Job responsibilities :

Assisting with daily care for clients at their home including showering, changing clothes, brushing their teeth, etc.

Transporting and accompanying clients when required.
Performing housekeeping including domestic cleaning, laundry, food preparation, shopping.
Social support to improve clients’ wellbeing and independence.
Perform administrative duties such as always clocking in / out after each shift, making incident reports, and entering shift notes on the rostering app.

To apply for the role, ideally you have the following :

Confident and calm manner.

Experienced in challenging behaviour management.

Communication : the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to adapt communication skills to each client you work with.

Current National Police Check.

Certificate Level III in Individual Support (in Aging).

Having an ability to speak MANDARIN is strongly preferred.

Current Mental Health First Aid.

Available to work on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning.
