  • Employment Type : Full-time locum contract
  • Salary : $75 p / h
  • Start Date : ASAP – 12 week with ability to extend

BluePrint Nursing is seeking a Clinical Nurse specialising in mental health to support our Community Mental Health Services. About the Role

  • The mental health team provides clinical case management and other therapies for adults aged between 18 and 65 years, experiencing significant and long-term mental illness.
  • Deliver evidence-based clinical care and therapeutic interventions in community settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement recovery-oriented care plans.
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Advocate for clients and promote access to appropriate mental health supports.

    • What You Will Bring

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Mental health Alcohol & Other Drugs experience
  • Demonstrated experience in adult mental health, intake, and community-based care.
  • Strong clinical assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred care.

    • Desirable experience

  • Knowledge of CHIMA database
  • Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system
  • Previous experience working in Australia, preferably with QLD Health
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act 2016

    • Mandatory Competencies

  • BLS competency
  • Manual and patient handling
  • Infection control
  • Aggressive behaviour management
  • Mandatory reporting by Registered Nurses, and / or Midwives for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect
  • Medications management including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012
