Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Enrichment Education Assistant to join our team in an ongoing, 0.8 FTE position commencing January 2026 . The successful applicant will support students with diverse learning needs through collaboration, tailored assistance, and fostering inclusion in both classroom and small group settings. You will be patient, flexible, committed to Christian values, and skilled in communication, organization, and supporting student engagement and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with additional learning or behavioural needs in both classroom and small group settings.
- Assist teachers in delivering learning programs and adapting materials to meet individual needs.
- Encourage student engagement and confidence through positive relationships and consistent support.
- Foster inclusion by promoting participation and confidence in classroom and co-curricular activities.
- Assist with general classroom duties, resource preparation, and supervision as needed.
- Collaborate with the Learning Enrichment team to support each student’s learning journey and follow College policies and other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Selection Criteria
Essential :
Personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and active membership in a Christian Church.Acceptance of the Association’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of Belief, and Educational Objectives, living a lifestyle consistent with these.Ability to build and maintain strong, healthy relationships with families, SCEA Head Office staff, and the College community.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills, able to prioritize workloads, make informed decisions quickly, show initiative, and take direction.Hold a current Working with Children card and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.Desirable :
Ability to foster creativity in students.Strong literacy and numeracy knowledge.Recent professional development relating to student support.A motivator and a team builder.To be competent in the use of computers.What We Offer
