About therole
The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dedicated team and lead the Community Health portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your data expertise in a purpose-driven environment—supporting decision-making, service planning, and performance monitoring across diverse community health programs
As the lead analyst within a small, collaborative team, you will provide technical expertise, guidance, and consistency in reporting standards and analytical practice.
You will collate, clean, and transform complex service delivery data into reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights that improve the quality, efficiency, and reach of health services for children and families across Perth metro.
This is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the health sector. You will work closely with service leaders and synthesise data into meaningful insights that enable strategic decision and inform effective service delivery.
Your responsibilities will include :
If you possess a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments, we invite you to apply. Technical capability in SQL, relational databases, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) will be highly regarded.
Prior experience in the health sector with exposure to clinical or performance reporting, or public sector is wellregarded but not required.

The Business Intelligence Unit offers a comprehensive reporting service for the whole of CAHS, including Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH), and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), both based in Nedlands and our Community based services (based at Mill St, Perth).
Our team of analysts work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance quality and operational performance outcomes. Through in-depth data analysis, we offer valuable insights for informed decision-making, strategic planning, and benchmarking in areas such as workforce, performance, safety and quality, clinical, outpatient and surgical services, as well as finance and activity-based funding and costing.
Our responsibilities include managing access to databases, workspaces and audiences for clinical and operational data, providing a centralised repository for reports and dashboards. In addition, we provide consultation, and mentoring to teams, supporting them in building analytical capability and to developing their own customised data analytics tools.
