About Our Client

Our client is a major enterprise operating in the industrial and resources sector, currently undertaking a complex payroll remediation project. The Brisbane-based team is focused on ensuring legislative compliance and audit defensibility across a decade of payroll data.

Job Description

  • Cleanse, review, and analyse large payroll datasets to identify impacted employees and quantify financial exposure.
  • Build defensible models and calculations that stand up to external audit scrutiny.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, working under the leadership of a senior compliance expert.
  • Apply your understanding of payroll legislation, especially around Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL), to validate and refine existing frameworks.
  • The Successful Applicant

    A successful Business Analyst (Payroll) should have :

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Business Analyst, Payroll Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, modelling) and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Ramco, or other enterprise payroll systems.
  • Experience in payroll remediation, compliance audits, or LSL-specific projects in Australia.
  • Methodical, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and pressure-test frameworks.

  • Contract Duration : 2-3 months initially, with strong potential for extension.
  • Location : Brisbane
  • Rate : $100-120 / hr (casual hourly rate).
