The Role
We are looking for seasoned Hazardous Plant Maintenance Superintendent to lead and manage all aspects of our maintenance and shutdown works on hazardous processing facilities and chemical plants based in the Perth metro area. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient execution of shutdown and maintenance activities, with a strong focus on operational excellence and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, prepare and execute maintenance and shutdown works to regulatory standards
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth shutdown execution
- Champion safety culture and enforce compliance with all safety policies
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Scope, resource, and supervise tasks to meet quality standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisory and execution teams
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for management
- Build strong client relationships to support future opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and reliability
- Represent the company in operational matters
- Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
About You
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid Construction White Card
- C Class Australian Driver’s Licence
- Recognised trade qualification relevant to the role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the mining sector
- Experience in ore processing facilities and shutdowns (highly desirable)
- Understanding of non-process infrastructure works (advantageous)
- S44 or Schedule 26 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid certificates : Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Gas Testing
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Professional, reliable, and positive attitude
