About The Role
Ventia is seeking experienced Maintenance Supervisors to lead multi‑trade teams in delivering planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across Defence sites. This full‑time role offers the opportunity to contribute to national defence capability in a dynamic and high‑impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee planned maintenance and repair works, including audits and optimisation of assets.Provide ongoing support and leadership to the trades and maintenance team.Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Defence contracts.Actively support and participate in transformation programmes.Ensure work order allocation to timesheets is accurate.Oversee contractor safety frameworks, including SWMS, onsite compliance to Ventia Critical Risk Protocols.Proactively manage contractor performance metrics and ensure compliance.Ensure contractual compliance through site assessments and initiate necessary work orders or quotes.Manage client requests and feedback, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.About You
Minimum of trade and / or relevant qualification and / or extensive experience.Trade contractor licence highly desirable.Proven experience in operational leadership within Defence or similar complex environments.Working knowledge of WHS legislation, WHS committees, and safety culture development.Demonstrated experience supervising subcontractors and liaising directly with clients.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficient computer skills—intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.A valid C‑class driver’s licence.Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance; applicant must be an Australian citizen and willing to maintain satisfactory AFP clearance.How to Apply
