Associate – Commercial Litigation & Insolvency Lawyer

This is your chance to join one of Melbourne’s highest regarded commercial litigation practices, where you’ll be working directly with a Partner who is recognised as one of the leading Litigation and Insolvency practitioners in Asia Pacific.

As an Associate in this team, you’ll be acting for high-profile clients on significant matters, including regulatory investigations, $100m+ commercial disputes, white-collar crime, and class actions.

The Role

You’ll be expected to take a proactive role in complex litigation management, gaining exposure to all stages of the DR process, including :

• Regulatory Investigations & Prosecutions : Insider trading, ACCC / ASIC investigations, and civil penalty proceedings.
• White-collar Crime : High-profile fraud and corruption matters, including IBAC investigations.
• Commercial Disputes : Large-scale shareholder disputes, post-acquisition fraud claims, and complex contract disputes with multinational corporations.
• Insolvency & Restructuring : Schemes of arrangement and warranty / indemnity insurance litigation.
• Royal Commissions : Significant investigations, including those involving the casino industry and other major sectors.
• Environmental Litigation : Complex environmental matters in the Supreme Court, Federal Court, and High Court.
