Virgin Australia is seeking a Senior Analyst in the COO FP&A team to drive financial planning, performance, and efficiency across Operations. You will lead the consolidation of monthly financial presentations, deliver deep analysis on cost drivers and operational metrics, and provide insights that shape strategic decisions. You will work with teams such as Network, Workforce Planning, and Training to identify risks and opportunities, support key initiatives, and influence long-term value creation. You will also help shape budgeting and planning tools, enhance reporting packs, and support operational decision-making across a diverse and high-impact portfolio. You’ll be great in this role if you :
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Have experience in FP&A within a large, complex organisation (e.g. airlines, resources, tourism)
- Have a background in a Big Four accounting firm (audit, advisory, or transaction services)
- Thrive in fast-paced environments and can apply an 80 / 20 mindset to deliver quick, effective insights
- Are highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Have worked in large corporate settings and are comfortable presenting to non-finance stakeholders
- Bring strong systems and project skills, including planning tools and data visualisation platforms
- Can analyse financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly
- Are confident partnering with senior leaders and influencing decision-making
