The Role
- Undertakes research and analysis to support the development and refinement of compliance policies, sector guidance materials and monitoring tools.
- Supports the coordination and reporting of compliance matters such as the Annual Compliance Audit Return process, including trend identification, data quality assurance, and preparation of summary reports.
- Analyses internal and sector sourced data to identify emerging compliance risks, capability gaps or systemic issues affecting local governments.
- Contributes to the design of performance dashboards, reports, and insights that support early intervention and evidence-based regulatory engagement.
- Under relevant legislation, performs statutory functions and exercises delegated statutory powers.
- Prepares high quality briefing notes, discussion papers, ministerial responses, and correspondence on compliance related policy issues.
- Works with internal compliance, communications, legal and investigation teams to ensure alignment and consistency in advice, language and sector focused materials.
- Builds constructive working relationships with policy staff, local government stakeholders, integrity agencies and government departments.
- Contributes to the development and refinement of internal policies, operational guidance and information resources that support effective regulation.
Qualifications & Licenses
Tertiary qualifications in public policy, governance, data analysis or a related discipline would be an advantage.Benefits
