Are you passionate about ICT and supporting learning through technology? We are seeking a School Technical Officer to provide reliable ICT support, maintenance, and advice within a school environment. In this role, you will manage day‑to‑day ICT operations, maintain hardware and software, and assist staff and students in using technology effectively. You will contribute to creating innovative and supportive learning environments by ensuring secure, efficient ICT systems that enhance teaching, learning, and administration across the school.

This role will be a cluster role across Farnborough State School and Yeppoon State School. The position is offered in a Temporary Part‑Time capacity (0.57 FTE), 41 hours per fortnight. This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note the salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

What We Are Looking For

• Technical knowledge of server hardware, configuration, and networking peripherals.
• A strong understanding of PC and laptop systems, iPads, and printer support.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven problem‑solving and analytical ability.
• A client‑focused approach with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Experience supporting local and wide area networks and applying security protocols.
• Ability to research, identify, and apply creative ICT solutions.
